Atiku's Firm Submits Tinubu Drug Allegation Documents

The United States lobbying firm Von Batten-Montague-York, engaged by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar under a 12-month contract valued at $1.2 million, has submitted documents to members of President Donald Trump’s administration concerning historical allegations against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. These documents, exceeding 60 pages, originate from the United States Department of Justice and relate to allegations of Tinubu's involvement in a heroin trafficking investigation from the late 1980s to early 1990s.

The firm stated that many US government officials were previously unaware of these allegations and aims to ensure broader attention to the issue, highlighting the impact of drug trafficking on US communities. While President Tinubu has denied any wrongdoing regarding these past allegations, it is noted that no US court has convicted him of drug trafficking.

The firm has only publicly released a chronology summarizing the historical DOJ allegations thus far.
