Wike Announces Plans to Build More Houses for Judges in Abuja

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, revealed that President Bola Tinubu's administration will support the judiciary by constructing more residential houses for judges in Abuja. This initiative aims to address housing shortages for judicial officials and provide appropriate accommodation.

Wike disclosed this during a special court session marking the commencement of the 2025-2026 legal year for the Court of Appeal in Abuja. The ongoing construction projects include new magistrate court complexes in Jabi District and staff quarters for the Nigerian Law School.

These efforts are geared towards supporting judges in the performance of their duties.
