Okeleye Backs Tinubu's Fight Against Insecurity in Nigeria

Okeleye, a member of the Omoluabi Parapo Conserv Group, expressed confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's ability to address insecurity in Nigeria. During a televised program, he highlighted that without security, the country's economy and foreign investment would suffer.

Okeleye stressed the importance of directing resources towards combating insurgency and criticized the federal government for spending on unnecessary items instead of prioritizing security. He noted that security is the backbone of the economy and that effective policies cannot be implemented without it.

Okeleye praised Tinubu's stance on creating state police, asserting that the federal government must ensure that the structure is not compromised. He acknowledged the challenges faced by the current federal police, including inadequate funding and recruitment issues, and expressed hope that mistakes from the past would not be repeated.
