Amaechi Blames Tinubu's Policies for Nigerian Hardships

Rotimi Amaechi, the president of the African Democratic Congress and former Minister of Transport, criticized President Bola Tinubu's "emi lokan" statement, claiming it is responsible for the suffering of Nigerians. Speaking in Abuja, Amaechi cautioned Nigerians against voting for Tinubu again in the 2027 elections, emphasizing the need to vote based on merit rather than loyalty.

He lamented the adverse economic conditions in Nigeria, stating that the current policies under Tinubu's administration have negatively impacted both Christian and Muslim markets, leading to widespread hardship. Amaechi questioned why Tinubu would seek re-election and expressed doubt about the All Progressives Congress's (APC) participation in the upcoming elections, given the prevailing economic difficulties.

He urged Nigerians to participate in changing the country's direction, highlighting the need for a shift in leadership to alleviate the current suffering.
