Tinubu Has Not Endorsed Any Oyo Gubernatorial Candidate

Adebayo Adelabu, a former Minister of Power, clarified that President Bola Tinubu has not endorsed any gubernatorial candidate in Oyo State, specifically refuting claims made by former Senator Ayo Adeseun that Tinubu supports Sharafadeen Alli's candidacy. During a meeting in Ibadan, Adelabu stated that the President remains the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and has not publicly endorsed any candidate.

He mentioned that Tinubu has expressed the importance of consulting stakeholders to explore the possibility of a consensus arrangement for the gubernatorial candidacy. Adelabu also noted that if a consensus cannot be reached, the party would resort to direct primaries.

He emphasized that Tinubu has not called anyone to endorse a candidate in Oyo and that any future endorsement would depend on consultations with party stakeholders.
