Umahi: Tinubu Solves Ndigbo Challenges, No Need for Biafra

David Umahi, the Minister of Works, stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has effectively addressed the challenges faced by the Ndigbo, indicating that there is no longer a need for Biafra agitation. Umahi urged the Southeast populace to support Tinubu's re-election bid in the upcoming 2027 general elections.

He highlighted the commitment of Tinubu's administration to tackle long-standing developmental issues in the region, particularly through infrastructure projects. Umahi inspected ongoing projects in Ebonyi State, including the Calabar-Lagos Coastal Highway, which is designed to enhance transport and trade across the Southeast corridor.

The project spans 123 kilometers and is estimated to cost N454 billion, featuring reinforced concrete pavement and solar-powered street lights. Umahi expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work on various project sites, noting that the federal government has already released 50% of the required funds for execution.
