Tinubu Inaugurates Abuja Highway, Promises Project Completion

On Thursday, President Bola Tinubu inaugurated the Federal Highway 105, linking the airport to Kuje township in the Federal Capital Territory. During the event, attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, Tinubu reaffirmed his administration's commitment to completing inherited projects rather than abandoning them.

He noted that the highway project, awarded in February 2022 at a cost exceeding N54 billion, had faced delays, causing hardship for commuters due to congestion and dust pollution. Tinubu emphasized the importance of the road in reducing travel time, improving access to markets, and stimulating economic activity for residents and farmers along the corridor.

He called on residents and business owners to support government efforts and comply with tax obligations to facilitate ongoing infrastructure development. Minister Wike described the project as a significant milestone in the Renew Hope Agenda, aimed at enhancing connectivity and supporting economic growth across the territory.
