Tinubu Inaugurates Premier Hotel in Ibadan, Oyo State

On Thursday, President Bola Tinubu inaugurated the newly remodelled Premier Hotel in Ibadan, Oyo State. George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, described the hotel as a landmark project and reaffirmed its cultural and commercial significance.

The event was attended by governors from six South West states, marking a moment of pride for the region. Tinubu emphasized that the project reflects a rebirth of national assets and serves as a foundation for a stronger future.

He commended the management team of Odu Investment Company for preserving the hotel's legacy while adapting to modern business realities. The President highlighted the strategic importance of the hospitality and tourism sectors in diversifying Nigeria's economy, creating jobs, and attracting foreign investment.

He also mentioned ongoing efforts to improve transport infrastructure and promote public-private partnerships to enhance tourism-related enterprises. Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State marked the occasion as a significant milestone in restoring an iconic hospitality landmark in Nigeria.
