Igbokwe Declares Osun State Belongs to APC Ahead of Election

Ahead of the gubernatorial election in Osun State, Joe Igbokwe, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), asserted that the state is firmly in the hands of the APC. He made this declaration in a post on his official Facebook page on Wednesday, citing the political dynamics of the state and President Bola Tinubu’s identity as a native of Osun as significant advantages for the ruling party.

Igbokwe confidently stated, “To all intents and purposes, and given the current situation, the political dynamics, and PBAT’s factor as a bonafide citizen of Osun State, I make bold to say that Osun is APC. Take it to any Bank of your choice.” This statement was made just days before the election, where the APC and the Accord Party are the primary contenders.

The incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke, has accused the APC of using federal power to intimidate leaders and supporters of the Accord Party in the lead-up to the election.
