APC Rallies Support for Oyebamiji in Osun Election

On Thursday, the All Progressives Congress (APC) organized a rally in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, to show support for its governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, ahead of the gubernatorial election scheduled for August 15, 2026. The event, held at Freedom Park, attracted a significant crowd, including prominent party leaders such as Senate President Godswill Akpabio, who represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Akpabio emphasized the importance of a peaceful and credible election, assuring voters that adequate security measures were in place to protect them. He encouraged the electorate to vote without fear of harassment and to ignore intimidation, particularly on social media.

Akpabio also advocated for aligning Osun State with the Federal Government to enhance cooperation and attract federal support. He noted that over 30 state governors are members of the APC and expressed hope for Osun State to join the party.
