Tinubu Appoints Dr. Fatima Suleiman Zuntu as NBMA Head

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially appointed Dr. Fatima Suleiman Zuntu as the new Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the National Biosafety Management Agency (NBMA).

This appointment is set for an initial period of four years, in accordance with the National Biosafety Management Agency Act of 2015. The announcement was made public by Chris Ugwuegbulam, who confirmed the appointment and highlighted Dr.

Zuntu's extensive experience in public health and policy development. Dr.

Zuntu has been involved in programs that have had a wide impact across the country, particularly in the health sector and public service delivery. President Tinubu expressed confidence that Dr.

Zuntu's knowledge and experience will support the agency's goals and contribute to national growth. The NBMA is tasked with regulating modern biotechnology in Nigeria to ensure that its use does not pose risks to human health and the environment.
