Tinubu Mourns Ibrahim Galadima, Nigerian Sports Icon

President Bola Tinubu mourned the death of Ibrahim Galadima, a notable sports administrator from Kano State, who passed away at the age of 78. In a statement issued on Sunday, Tinubu described Galadima's demise as a significant loss to the sports community in Nigeria.

He acknowledged Galadima's contributions to the development of Nigerian football at both grassroots and elite levels. Galadima served in various capacities, including as the chairman of the Kano State Sports Council and held multiple positions within the federal sports administration.

He was the president of the defunct Nigeria Football Association (NFA), which was a precursor to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), from 2002 to 2006. Tinubu extended his condolences to Galadima's family, the government, and the people of Kano State, highlighting the impact of Galadima's work on Nigerian sports.
