Former NFA Chairman Ibrahim Galadima Passes Away

Ibrahim Galadima, the former chairman of the Nigeria Football Association (NFA), passed away due to a prolonged illness, as confirmed on Saturday by Sani Ahm Toro, the former NFA Secretary General. Born in 1951 in Kano State, Galadima had a distinguished career in sports administration that spanned several decades.

He served as the chairman of the NFA and was instrumental in Nigeria's preparations for the 1995 FIFA World Youth Championship. His leadership roles included being a member of the National Sports Commission and serving as vice president of the Nigeria Olympic Committee from 1985 to 1987.

Galadima later returned to chair the Kano State Sports Council, continuing his contributions to sports development at both state and national levels. He was also a member of the Presidential Monitoring Committee for sports facilities and served on the organizing committee for the Confederation of African Football Youth Championship in 2002.

Burial arrangements are expected to be announced by the family.
