Tinubu Mourns Ex-Super Eagles Star Henry Nwosu

President Bola Tinubu has expressed his condolences following the death of Henry Onyemanz Nwosu, a legendary midfielder for the Super Eagles, who passed away on Saturday at the age of 62. In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu joined the Nigerian football community in mourning Nwosu, recognizing his exceptional skills and contributions to the sport.

Nwosu was a key player in the Nigerian national team, notably as part of the squad that won the Africa Cup of Nations in 1980 at the age of 17. He also represented Nigeria in subsequent AFCON tournaments in 1982, 1984, and 1988.

Tinubu emphasized that Nwosu's legacy will always be remembered, as he brought pride to the nation and inspired his compatriots to achieve greater accomplishments. The President praised Nwosu's soul and offered comfort to his family during this difficult time.
