Tinubu Mourns Soldiers Killed in Boko Haram Attack

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu mourned the soldiers killed in a Boko Haram attack on a military base in Benisheikh, Borno State. The attack occurred at approximately 12:30 AM on Thursday, targeting the Camp 29 Task Force Brigade of Operation Hadin Kai.

The number of military personnel killed remains unspecified. In a statement issued by his special adviser, Tinubu extended condolences to the military authorities and the families of the fallen soldiers, urging them to remain strong despite their loss.

He commended the courage of the troops who fought bravely to repel the terrorists and prevent them from overrunning nearby communities. Tinubu also paid tribute to Brig Gen Oseni Omoh Braimah, who was involved in the attack.

He called on the Nigerian media to support the military's campaign against insurgency and warned against narratives that could weaken troop morale. The president assured that the federal government would continue to equip the armed forces and prioritize the welfare of personnel while pledging to collaborate with the Borno State government to restore peace.
