Tinubu Orders Security Chiefs to Relocate to Maiduguri

On Tuesday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu directed Nigeria's security chiefs to relocate to Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, to manage the security situation in the region following a recent terror attack. In a statement issued in Abuja, Tinubu described the attack as deeply troubling and expressed condolences to the families of those killed while sympathizing with the injured.

He assured that the Nigerian administration remains committed to intensifying efforts against terrorist groups and criminal elements across the country. Tinubu characterized the attack as a desperate attempt by terrorists to instill fear and emphasized the need for sustained pressure on security forces operating in various parts of the country.

He commended the military for repelling coordinated assaults and praised the resilience of troops and civilian task forces in maintaining security in the region. Additionally, he revealed the recent approval of additional equipment to support security agencies and directed emergency response agencies to ensure proper medical care for victims of the attack.
