Tinubu Approves 4,000 Hectare Free Trade Zone in Kogi

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has taken significant steps to revive the long-dormant Ajaokuta Steel Company by approving the establishment of a 4,000-hectare free trade zone in Kogi State. This initiative aims to unlock the vast economic potential of the state and complement ongoing efforts to revitalize the steel company.

Kogi State Governor Ahm Usman Ododo delivered the news regarding the licensing of the newly approved Ajaokuta free trade zone, which was sanctioned by the Nigerian Export Processing Zone Authority (NEPZA) on Thursday in Abuja. The project is expected to position Kogi as a major industrial investment hub in Nigeria.

Governor Ododo expressed optimism that by the end of the year, Ajaokuta will be operational, enhancing the economic sustainability of the state and the nation. NEPZA's Managing Director, Dr.
