Sheriff Praises Tinubu's Efforts for Nigeria's Progress

Ali Modu Sheriff, the former governor of Borno State and a notable figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC), commended President Bola Tinubu for his initiatives aimed at moving Nigeria forward. During a political discussion on Channel Television, Sheriff stated that Tinubu has made significant contributions to the country’s progress and emphasized the importance of not condemning his efforts.

He pointed out that during Tinubu's tenure, there was no revolt regarding the removal of fuel subsidies, which he claimed was a necessary measure. Sheriff also referenced the financial allocations to states, noting that Borno State received N55 billion monthly over eight years, totaling N150 billion.

He underscored the federal government's responsibility in addressing insecurity, urging that it should not be solely blamed on state governments. Sheriff’s remarks reflect a strong endorsement of Tinubu's leadership and a call for unity in advancing national interests.
