Tinubu Appoints Delegation for Nigeria-Canada Investment Conference

President Bola Tinubu has approved a high-level Federal Government delegation to represent Nigeria at the inaugural Nigeria Diaspora Investment Economic Conference in Toronto, Canada, scheduled for August 12 to 15, 2026. The delegation will be led by the President’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.

The conference, themed “Invest Nigeria, Thrive Abroad,” aims to connect government officials, investors, business leaders, and members of the Nigerian diaspora to explore investment opportunities and strengthen economic relations between Nigeria and Canada. Five governors included in the delegation are Babagana Zulum (Borno State), Chukwuma Soludo (Anambra State), Uba Sani (Kaduna State), Caleb Mutfwang (Plateau State), and Dauda Lawal (Zamfara State).

Other members include Foreign Affairs Minister Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment Jumoke Oduwole, and Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo. The conference will focus on sectors such as agriculture, technology, manufacturing, infrastructure, energy, healthcare, and the digital economy, with participation from various government institutions and Canadian officials.
