Key Stakeholders to Headline CIBN Banking Conference

The 19th Annual Banking and Finance Conference of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) is set to feature President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy Taiwo Oyedele, and Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria Olayemi Cardoso, among other key stakeholders. The conference will take place in Abuja, with virtual participation from across Nigeria and globally.

Matthew Verghis, the World Bank Country Director for Nigeria, will deliver the keynote address. Dr. Dele Alabi, President and Chairman of Council of CIBN, emphasized the conference's timely theme, which addresses the geopolitical, technological, and economic disruptions affecting the global financial system.

He noted that the event would provide a platform for stakeholders to explore challenges and opportunities in the banking industry while developing practical solutions to strengthen the economy. Moruf Oseni, Chairman of the Consultative Committee on the conference, reiterated the importance of addressing the financial services industry's challenges.
