Tinubu Launches Bwari Water Supply Network for FCT

On Tuesday, President Bola Tinubu inaugurated a newly constructed water supply network in Bwari, Federal Capital Territory, as part of his administration's commitment to providing clean water to all area councils. This initiative, which aligns with the "Renewed Hope Agenda," features a state-of-the-art 198-kilometer pipeline connected directly to the major treated water source at the Lower Usuma Dam.

The project aims to alleviate waterborne diseases and reduce the financial burden on residents who previously relied on untreated boreholes and streams. Tinubu, alongside Senator Oluremi Tinubu, emphasized that access to clean water is a fundamental right, not a luxury.

The inauguration marks the third anniversary of his administration, which has also seen the rehabilitation of the Lower Usuma Dam and the expansion of the Karu water supply network. Tinubu commended FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for his fiscal discipline and commitment to improving the territory's infrastructure, which includes 31 landmark projects aimed at boosting the region's revenue.
