Tinubu Ends Neglect of FCT Satellite Towns with Water Project

On Monday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced the end of neglect for satellite towns in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) during the commissioning of a water supply network in Karu. The project, which is part of the greater Abuja water supply initiative, aims to provide potable water to residents in Karu, Orozo, Jikwoyi, and Kurudu.

Tinubu emphasized that access to clean water is a fundamental human right and a key component of his administration's "Renew Hope Agenda." He noted that the project includes a 194-kilometer secondary and tertiary pipeline network designed to deliver treated water directly to residents. The administration has approved funding for the project without bureaucratic delays, enabling contractors to complete the work ahead of schedule.

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike expressed appreciation for the support of the president in addressing infrastructure deficits in satellite communities, highlighting the project's potential to improve public health and living conditions.
