Tinubu Launches Bwari Water Project for Clean Water Access

On Tuesday, President Bola Tinubu inaugurated the newly completed Bwari Water Supply Network, emphasizing the administration's commitment to providing clean water across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The project, which features a 198-kilometer pipeline connecting Bwari to surrounding communities, utilizes treated water sourced from the Lower Usuma Dam.

Tinubu highlighted that this initiative is part of his administration's "Renewed Hope Agenda," aimed at improving the quality of life for Nigerians. He noted that residents of Bwari and neighboring areas have relied on untreated borehole and stream water, which poses health risks.

The completion of this project is expected to reduce waterborne diseases and eliminate the costly dependence on private boreholes. Tinubu also commended the leadership of Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, for his efforts in delivering key infrastructure projects, including the recent inauguration of the Karu Water Supply Network.

The administration plans to extend potable water access to satellite towns by 2025.
