Tinubu Promises Enhanced Security Support for Zamfara

During a meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, President Bola Tinubu assured Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal of increased troop deployment to enhance security support in the state. The meeting, which was held behind closed doors, focused on the security situation in Zamfara and highlighted the successes achieved so far while identifying areas requiring improvement to restore peace.

Tinubu reaffirmed the federal government's commitment to strengthening troop deployment and operational support. Additionally, Governor Lawal briefed the President on the state's economic development, particularly regarding the growth of internal revenue and the need for additional federal support to strengthen local industries.

Tinubu committed to ongoing support that includes exploring federal resource programs to enhance local industries and generate job opportunities in Zamfara. The meeting also included discussions with governors from other states, including Borno, Imo, Gombe, Benue, Ekiti, Enugu, and Kwara.
