Tinubu Offers Support for Families of Slain Security Personnel

President Bola Tinubu has pledged support for the families of 11 security personnel who were killed in a bandit attack in Shanga Local Government Area, Kebbi State. This commitment was communicated by Vice President Kashim Shettima during a condolence visit to the Kebbi State Government House in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday.

Tinubu described the incident as a profound tragedy and condemned the attack as a barbaric act. He commended the courage and sacrifice of the fallen personnel and emphasized the federal government's commitment to supporting their families.

The Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Muhammad Usman Zuru, acknowledged the president's visit as a demonstration of solidarity during a moment of grief. He revealed that the slain personnel were ambushed while responding to a distress call, highlighting the dangers faced by security operatives on the frontlines.

The visit comes amid renewed concerns about insecurity in the region, with state authorities pledging to intensify efforts to curb banditry and restore peace.
