Tinubu Condoles Kebbi Over Bandit Attack, Speaker's Death

President Bola Tinubu visited Kebbi State to express condolences following a bandit attack that killed 11 security personnel in Shanga Local Government Area and the death of the Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon.

Muhammad Usman Zuru. During his visit to the Government House in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday, Tinubu, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, described the twin tragedies as a profound pain and condemned the attack as a barbaric act.

He commended the courage and sacrifice of the fallen security personnel and assured that the federal government would do everything possible to support the affected families and communities. Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris acknowledged the President's visit as a demonstration of solidarity during this moment of grief.

He disclosed that the slain personnel were ambushed while responding to a distress call. The late Speaker had been flown abroad for medical treatment but unfortunately did not survive.

Emir Zuru, Sanusi Mika Ilu, also commended the state government's support for the victims' families.
