Tinubu Commits to Northern Development and Security

On Saturday, during the third General Hassan Usman Katsina Memorial Conference in Kaduna, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, represented by his Special Assistant on Political Matters, Alhaji Ibrahim Masari, reaffirmed his administration's commitment to tackling insecurity and promoting infrastructure development in Northern Nigeria. Tinubu stated that despite current security challenges, his administration is focused on restoring peace, asserting that the issues of insecurity will soon be resolved.

He highlighted significant investments in various sectors, including education, road infrastructure, rail transportation, power, agriculture, and youth development. Notably, over one million students have benefited from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).

Tinubu mentioned ongoing reconstruction projects such as the Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano Expressway and the Sokoto-Badagry Super Highway. He also announced the upgrade of the College of Petroleum and Energy Studies in Kaduna to a university named after General Hassan Usman Katsina.

The President paid tribute to Katsina, urging Nigerians to emulate his values.
