Tinubu Reshuffles Cabinet: New Finance Minister Appointed

On April 23, 2026, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu executed a minor reshuffle of his cabinet, leading to the departure of two members from the Federal Executive Council: Wale Edun and Ahm Musa Dangiwa. Wale Edun's position as Minister of Finance will now be filled by Taiwo Oyedele, who previously served as Minister of State for the Ministry of Economy.

Additionally, Muttaqha Rabe Darma has been nominated to take over as Minister of State for Urban Development. The reshuffle aims to strengthen the cohesion and synergy within the government to enhance the delivery of Nigeria's economic agenda, known as the Renewed Hope Agenda.
