Tinubu Reaffirms Commitment to Maritime Development

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu reaffirmed his administration's commitment to the continuous development of Nigeria's maritime industry during a meeting with Dr. Dayo Mobereola, the Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), at the State House in Abuja. The meeting, which took place on a Thursday, involved discussions on various issues concerning the development of Nigeria's maritime sector.

President Tinubu emphasized that the establishment of the Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy was a strategic move aimed at enhancing the maritime sector's contribution to the nation's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). He commended NIMASA for the progress made thus far but urged Dr. Mobereola and his team not to become complacent.

Dr. Mobereola provided the President with updates on NIMASA's developments over the past two years, detailing both the achievements and challenges faced by the agency within the industry.
