Tinubu Returns to Abuja After Eid-El-Kabir Celebrations

President Bola Tinubu returned to Abuja on September 5, 2023, after spending the Eid-El-Kabir holiday in Lagos. His official plane, Nigeria Air Force 1, landed at the presidential wing of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at 5:17 PM.

He was received by the Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, and Inspector General of Police, Tunji Disu, among other senior government officials. During the holiday, Tinubu met with Vice President Kashim Shettima and various groups, including the Senate leadership led by Senate President Godswill Akpabio and the Nigeria Governors' Forum chaired by Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.

He also participated in the APC primary elections in Lagos, where he received overwhelming support from close to 11 million voters. Additionally, Tinubu attended the Nigerian Navy's 70th anniversary at Eko Atlantic City, where he received Romuald Wadagni, President of Benin, to strengthen regional cooperation.
