Tinubu Wins APC Primary in Edo with 131,096 Votes

In the APC presidential primary held on Saturday across 192 wards in Edo State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu received 131,096 votes, significantly outpacing his challenger, Stanley Osifo, who garnered just one vote. The election was overseen by Edo State Governor Mondai Okpebholo, who confirmed that the primary was conducted peacefully across the state.

The results were presented at the APC party secretariat in Ikpoba Hill, where it was noted that Tinubu achieved the highest vote counts in various local government areas. For instance, in Oredo Local Government Area, Tinubu secured 9,177 votes, while Osifo received zero.

Similar results were observed in other areas, including Ikpoba Okha, Egor, and Orhionmwon, where Tinubu consistently outperformed Osifo, who failed to register any votes in multiple wards. This primary was part of a simultaneous election across 36 states in the federation.
