Tinubu Wins APC Presidential Primary in Ebonyi State

Bola Tinubu secured victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary held in Ebonyi State on Saturday, garnering 207,579 valid votes from a total of 215,490 registered party members. The exercise took place across 171 wards in 13 local government areas, with no votes recorded for rival Stanley Osifo.

The results were announced by Francis Nwifuru, the governor of Ebonyi State, who confirmed that the primary was conducted peacefully and transparently. Tinubu's vote distribution included 15,673 votes from Abakaliki, 10,718 from Afikpo North, and 25,453 from Ishielu, among others.

David Umahi, the Minister of Works, expressed confidence in Tinubu's ability to address Nigeria's security challenges over the next five years and emphasized Ebonyi as a stronghold for the APC. The primary demonstrated significant participation and loyalty to Tinubu's administration, with no opposition presence reported.
