Tinubu Wins APC Primaries with 915,840 Votes

Bola Ahmed Tinubu won the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primaries held in Kano and Borno states, securing a combined total of 915,840 votes. In Kano State, he received 500,852 votes, defeating his challenger, Osifo Osayamen Stanlei, who garnered 2,675 votes.

The results were officially announced on Saturday following a peaceful and transparent exercise conducted across 44 local government areas in Kano. The exercise was overseen by Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

In Borno State, Governor Babagana Zulum declared Tinubu the winner with 414,988 votes cast across 27 local government areas, with no votes recorded for his opponent. The primaries were conducted on May 23, 2026, and the results signal strong support for Tinubu ahead of the presidential elections scheduled for January 16, 2027.
