Tinubu Wins APC Primary in Kano Ward Election

Bola Tinubu emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election held in Kabo ward, Kabo Local Government Area, Kano State, on Saturday. The election took place at the APC secretariat in the ward, with Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin confirming the results through his media aide, Ismail Mudashir.

Tinubu defeated his only challenger, Osifo Osayamen Stanlei, who received zero votes. The election recorded a massive turnout of party members, with 1,007 eligible voters in the ward, although it was noted that three voters did not participate in the exercise.

Barau expressed satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the primary election and thanked party members for their participation. Lawal Najum, the chairman of Kabo Local Government Area, commended the orderly conduct of the election and expressed confidence in the APC's chances in the 2027 elections, which are scheduled for January 16, 2027, as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
