Tinubu and St Kitts PM Discuss Bilateral Cooperation

On Thursday, Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu met with Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Terrance Michael Drew, during Drew's courtesy visit to the State House in Abuja. They reached a decision to appoint special envoys to deepen bilateral relations and strengthen cooperation between Nigeria and St Kitts and Nevis.

The envoys will help advance diplomatic engagement and ensure that existing agreements yield tangible results. This arrangement is expected to support broader cooperation between Nigeria and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).

Drew praised Tinubu's leadership and commitment to strengthening ties between Africa and the Caribbean, noting the historical connection of St Kitts and Nevis citizens to Nigeria, particularly the Calabar region. The discussions covered various areas of collaboration, including education, agriculture, food security, cultural exchange, and the development of partnerships between Africa and the Caribbean.

Drew highlighted the role of Nigerian-trained professionals in the development of St Kitts and Nevis.
