Tinubu Wins APC Presidential Primaries in Bayelsa

Bola Ahmed Tinubu emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primaries held in Bayelsa, receiving a total of 277,192 votes. He defeated his main challenger, Stanlei Osifo, who failed to record significant votes in the local government areas.

The results indicated that Tinubu garnered 39,454 votes in Brass Local Government Area, while Osifo did not record any votes there. In Ekeremor Local Government Area, Tinubu received 45,949 votes, and in Kolokuma-Opokuma, he secured 32,487 votes.

Additionally, he recorded 24,896 votes in Ogbia Local Government Area and 46,283 votes in Sagbama Local Government Area. Southern Ijaw produced the highest tally for Tinubu with 74,136 votes, while Osifo managed only five votes in Yenagoa Local Government Area.

Doriel Nduwi, the state returning officer, described the primary election as peaceful and orderly, reflecting the commitment of APC members across Bayelsa to the party's internal democratic process.
