Tinubu Urges Traditional Rulers to Enhance Security Unity

On Thursday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu called upon Nigeria's traditional rulers to actively participate in addressing the country's security challenges and fostering unity among diverse communities. This appeal was made during the launch of Oba Dr.

Samuel Oluyemisi Olu Falae's autobiography in Lagos. Tinubu emphasized that traditional rulers should serve as stabilizing forces within their domains, leveraging their influence to encourage peace and coexistence.

He highlighted the importance of dialogue and discouraging violence to strengthen social cohesion. The event was attended by political leaders, traditional rulers, and diplomats, reflecting the significance of leadership and service to the nation.

Tinubu praised Falae's legacy in public service, particularly his tenure as Finance Minister, which contributed to shaping Nigeria's economic framework during critical periods. He reiterated the indispensable role of traditional institutions in governance, especially amid heightened security challenges, and pledged to enhance collaboration with these institutions to promote grassroots development and peacebuilding.
