Atiku Abubakar Secures ADC Presidential Ticket for 2027

Atiku Abubakar won the presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on October 1, 2023, with a total of 1,846,379 votes. He defeated his closest rival, Chibuike Amaechi, who garnered 540,117 votes, and Moham Hayatu-Deen, who received 177,120 votes.

Following his victory, Atiku expressed gratitude for the opportunity to lead the ADC in the upcoming presidential elections scheduled for early next year. He emphasized the importance of democracy and the need to combat the oppressive actions of the current government led by Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
