Tinubu to Commission Revamped Premier Hotel in Ibadan

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will commission the newly remodeled 62-year-old Premier Hotel in Ibadan on Thursday, June 25, 2026. The event will be hosted by Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, who will serve as the chief host.

Other notable attendees include Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the chairman of the South West Governor's Forum, and governors Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State, Abiodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State, and Ademola Adeleke of Osun State. The Premier Hotel, located on Mokola Hill, has undergone extensive renovations by Odu Investment Company as part of efforts to reposition it as a modern hospitality destination.

The hotel holds significant historical importance in Nigeria's post-independence era, being one of the first modern high-rise hotels outside Lagos and a symbol of the development aspirations of the former Western Region.
