Tinubu Launches Premier Hotel to Boost Tourism in Ibadan

On Thursday, Bola Tinubu, the President of Nigeria, inaugurated the first phase of a 154-bed premier hotel in Ibadan, Oyo State. He stressed the importance of revitalizing national assets to complement the current administration's efforts in infrastructure development and economic growth.

Tinubu highlighted that the hotel project serves as a reminder of the need to preserve heritage while adapting to contemporary realities. He noted that the hospitality and tourism industry is crucial for economic diversification, job creation, and cultural diplomacy.

Oyo State Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde and Secretary to the State Government Prof. Musibau Babatunde acknowledged the project as a significant milestone in restoring Nigeria's iconic hospitality landmarks. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Ondo State Governor, described the reopening of the hotel as a rebirth of a historical institution that will shape the economic and cultural evolution of the southwest region.

The project is executed in partnership with Odua Investment Company.
