Tinubu Urges Orderly Voting in Upcoming Elections

President Bola Tinubu, through his spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, called on eligible voters in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Rivers State, and Kano State to conduct themselves in an orderly manner while exercising their franchise during the elections scheduled for Saturday. Tinubu emphasized that the electoral process thrives best in an atmosphere of calm, tolerance, and mutual respect.

He urged political parties and candidates to support peaceful conduct and to shun violence and inflammatory statements that could undermine the credibility of the electoral process. The President cautioned against high-handed actions that could intimidate voters and erode public trust.

He assured that security personnel would be present to protect lives and property and maintain the sanctity of the ballot. Tinubu also appealed to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to implement necessary measures to bolster voter confidence and ensure a smooth voting process, in line with the 2026 Electoral Act.
