Tinubu Urges Young Health Fellows to Serve with Honor

On Tuesday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu addressed young health fellows participating in the National Health Fellowship Program, urging them to serve with honour, humility, and courage. He expressed the government's commitment to supporting their career paths and highlighted the selection of 774 local government areas for the second cohort of fellows, aimed at boosting healthcare delivery nationwide.

Tinubu emphasized the potential of Nigerian youth to drive the nation's health transformation and called on traditional and religious leaders to support government efforts in achieving universal health coverage. He acknowledged the contributions of the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare and encouraged state governments to host graduation ceremonies for the fellows.

The event featured various traditional and religious leaders from Nigeria's six geopolitical zones, underscoring a collective commitment to improving the health sector and fostering inclusivity.
