Tinubu Urges Abuja Residents to Pay Taxes for Development

During the inauguration of the N5 Obafemi Awolowo Life Camp Junction Ring Road II in Abuja, President Bola Tinubu appealed to residents to pay their taxes, including land charges and ground rents, to enable the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) to continue providing infrastructure projects. The event took place on Wednesday, with Vice President Kashim Shettima in attendance.

Tinubu described the newly completed road as a critical economic corridor that eases traffic congestion and improves connectivity, unlocking investment opportunities within the capital. He stressed the importance of timely project completion, noting that past infrastructure projects often lingered for years without completion.

Tinubu commended the FCTA Minister Nyesom Wike for his administration's execution of projects and highlighted the significant reduction in travel time due to the N5 corridor. Wike noted that the project was completed within a strict 15-month timeline, emphasizing the government's commitment to infrastructure development across Abuja and its satellite towns.
