Tinubu Commits to Restoring Peace and Stability in Nigeria

President Bola Tinubu, during a speech in Abuja, reaffirmed his administration's determination to restore peace and stability throughout Nigeria. He acknowledged the significant security challenges facing parts of the country and assured Nigerians of the government's serious commitment to safeguarding lives and properties.

Tinubu stated that efforts would be intensified to strengthen the security architecture, support the armed forces and police, and invest in intelligence and surveillance. He also mentioned plans to amend the constitution to allow for the creation of state police.

Tinubu highlighted the achievements of his administration since assuming office on May 29, 2023, including economic reforms, the establishment of a Nigerian education loan fund, and initiatives to improve power supply. He emphasized the need for unity among Nigerians and called for collaboration to overcome divisive forces.

The speech was delivered as he received a certificate of return from the APC, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
