Tinubu Welcomes Ubandoma Back to APC, Urges Unity

On Tuesday night, President Bola Tinubu welcomed former Sokoto State governorship candidate Idu Umar Ubandoma back to the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. This meeting was attended by APC leader in Sokoto State, Senator Aliyu Wamakko.

Tinubu expressed delight at Ubandoma's decision to rejoin the APC and assured him of full support for his integration into the party. He emphasized the importance of maintaining a close working relationship with Wamakko and Sokoto State Governor Aliyu Sokoto to strengthen the party's presence in the state.

The meeting was described as cordial and productive, focusing on consolidating APC's fortunes in Sokoto State and fostering greater unity within the party. Ubandoma recently defected from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) after a brief stint with the opposition party, having previously served as the Commissioner for Finance and Secretary to the Sokoto State Government.
