APC Leaders Urge Minister Adelabu to Rethink Gubernatorial Bid

Adebayo Adelabu, the current minister of power, is reportedly being advised by elder statesmen Adebisi Akande and Olusegun Osoba to reconsider his ambition to run for the governorship of Oyo State in the 2027 elections. This advice comes amid concerns about potential divisions within the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the party prepares for future elections.

Sources indicate that Adelabu may be contemplating resigning from his ministerial position to pursue his gubernatorial ambitions, although this has not been officially confirmed. Adelabu previously contested for the governorship in 2019 and has expressed interest in running again in 2027.
