Tinubu's Absence During Foreign Trips Raises Concerns

Atiku Abubakar's media aide raised concerns regarding President Bola Tinubu's whereabouts during his recent foreign trips to France and Kenya. Tinubu departed Abuja on May 3, 2023, for engagements in France and Rwanda, where he announced a meeting with global investors on May 5.

However, he did not resurface until May 11 in Nairobi, Kenya, for the Africa Forward Summit. The aide questioned the six-day gap between official engagements, suggesting that it may have included private leisure and medical activities.

The aide stressed that Nigerians deserve accountability from their president, especially in light of the country's worsening economic and security challenges. The absence of the president during critical times was deemed unacceptable, as the nation faces significant economic pain and insecurity.
