Tomilola Adeyemo to Release New Novel "Efun's Jazz"

Tomilola Adeyemo, a bestselling romance author, has announced her next novel titled "Efun's Jazz," which is scheduled for release on August 11, 2026. This will be her third book published by Masob Books. "Efun's Jazz" follows the story of Nicol Oyetunji, who grapples with feelings of resentment in her ten-year marriage and the challenges of motherhood.

Set against the backdrop of the Osun Osogbo festival, Nicol seeks hope and faith through ancestral rituals to mend her fractured love life. The narrative introduces characters such as Adelaja Laja Kolapo, a businessman burdened by grief, as Nicol confronts her past and desires.

The novel explores themes of forbidden love and Yoruba spirituality in a modern context. Adeyemo previously gained recognition for her short story series on the Pan-African literary website Brittl Paper in 2022, which significantly boosted her literary career.
