Rivers State Government Transitions to Emergency Rule, Hosts Thanksgiving Service

Rivers State Government declared an official transition to emergency rule amidst democratic governance challenges. The announcement was made by the Secretary to the State Government, Ibibia Lucky Worika, who disclosed plans for an interdenominational church thanksgiving service at the Ecumenical Centre in Port Harcourt.

The event, set to host various stakeholders, will feature retired Navy Admiral Ibas as a Special Guest of Honour. Additionally, APC Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, highlighted the support of South-South governors for Bola Tinubu's presidential bid during the 12th Expanded Stakeholders meeting in Yenagoa, Bayelsa.
