Nigeria's Tourism Sector: Key to Economic Growth and Jobs

Barr Musa Musawa, the Minister of the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture and Tourism, spoke at the launch of the National Institute of Hospitality and Tourism (NIHOTOUR) in Abuja, where he highlighted the sector's critical role in Nigeria's economic diversification and job creation. He urged public and private sectors to collaborate in aligning Nigeria's tourism industry with global best practices.

Musawa emphasized the need to eliminate unprofessional practices and ensure quality service delivery in the hospitality sector. The event also marked the issuance of the first batch of professional practice licenses to industry practitioners, a significant step in establishing standards within the sector.
